Investing in Technology and Telecommunications

Katalyst invests in Technology and Telecommunications companies through our partnership with New World Ventures.

New World Ventures has focused on helping talented, experienced entrepreneurs and management teams build great technology companies since 1996. New World Ventures’ investing activities span several entities including New World Equities, Inc., New World Venture Investors I, L.P. and William Blair New World Ventures, L.P.

Working together since 2001, New World Ventures and Katalyst LLC created a new investment partnership in late 2002 that leverages the investment expertise of New World Ventures with the investment banking and business advisory expertise of Katalyst.

The partnership of Katalyst and New World Ventures is unique. The fifteen professionals in the combined organizations provide entrepreneurs and management teams with the tools and relevant expertise to build great companies: capital, deep operating experience and know-how, private placement services, Mergers & Acquisition advice and an unparalleled network.

Prior to the partnership with New World Ventures, Katalyst invested through Katalyst Venture Partners I (KVP I), an early-stage technology fund raised in the summer of 2000. Limited Partners in KVP I include Comcast Interactive, GE Capital, Mellon Ventures, Liberty Media Corporation (NYSE: L), Apax, Cox Communications and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. KVP I made five investments and is fully invested.
