Barth, Senior Financial Advisor
Malte Barth is the Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking
for Katalyst, an investment banking firm specializing
in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors. Mr. Barth
is also Chief Operating Officer and a member of the board of directors
of Jaguar II Acquisition Corporation and Jaguar III Acquisition
Corporation, companies formed to effect a merger, capital stock
exchange or asset acquisition with operating businesses in China.
Mr.
Barth is also a Partner with Skillnet GmbH, an international boutique
management consulting and corporate finance firm exclusively focused
on the telecommunication, information technology, media, E-business
and service provider (TIMES) markets. As Partner, Mr. Barth manages
extensive strategic work with clients globally and specifically
in China.
Since
October 2002, Mr. Barth has also served as Managing Partner of
Skillnet Consulting (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., the 100% wholly-owned
subsidiary of Skillnet in PRC. In this position Mr. Barth works
with major financial and strategic investors in due diligence
and deal sourcing efforts in the Chinese TIMES industry. In this
capacity, Mr. Barth worked with Jaguar Acquisition Corporation
as a consultant on the China Cablecom merger.
For
Chinese TIMES clients, Mr. Barth manages private placements and
supports offshore IPOs. He also assists Chinese clients like Shanghai
Media and Entertainment Group and UFIDA with international media
and telecommications strategies.
Prior
to joining Skillnet, Mr. Barth served with KPMG in Germany and
in the United States, working within the “world class finance”
practice.
Mr.
Barth began his career at Dutch Philips groups in the field of
medical systems. He holds degrees in Industrial Engineering and
Business Management from Nordakadmie, Hamburg Germany.
